The Plainfield Varsity Volleyball team picked up a win Tuesday night, sweeping mid-state rival Mooresville 3–0. Audrey Utterback led the Quakers’ attack with 16 kills, while Charlee Groninger dished out 32 assists. Marley VanWanzeele added 9 kills, and defensively, Evie Ellis and Savannah Brock anchored the back row with 11 digs apiece. The JV team won 2-0 and the freshmen team also won 2-0. On Thursday, the Quakers battled county opponent Tri-West but fell 1–3. Plainfield plays next Tuesday as they travel to Perry Meridian. Junior Varsity action begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by Varsity.
