The Quakers battled through three matches this past week, finishing with a 1-1-1 record. Martinsville 2, Plainfield 1: Cameron Carman opened the scoring just 9 minutes in, but the Quakers couldn’t add to the lead and fell in a tight mid-state contest. Plainfield 2, Lawrence North 1: The Quakers bounced back on the road with an impressive win over a talented Wildcats squad. After a scoreless first half, Charles DeGroote struck in the 41st minute, followed quickly by senior Jerry Saintil just two minutes later. The defense held strong to secure the clean sheet. Plainfield 1, Mooresville 1: Back at home, the Quakers earned a hard-fought draw against their mid-state rival. Cameron Carman buried a penalty kick in the first half for Plainfield’s lone goal. The Quakers return to action Saturday morning vs. Ben Davis. JV kicks off at 10:00 a.m. followed by varsity.
