Quakers Volleyball Outlasts Center Grove in Five-Set Battle

The Plainfield volleyball team capped off a busy week with a signature win, defeating ranked Center Grove in a thrilling five-set match. The Quakers came out strong, taking the first two sets 25–18 and 25–21. The Trojans responded by claiming sets three and four, forcing a decisive fifth. Plainfield scored early in the final set, building a four-point lead and holding on to a 15–11 victory and a 3–2 match win. Audrey Utterback led the Quakers with 25 kills, while Marley VanWanzeele added 17 kills in the middle. Defensively, Plainfield’s back row was solid against Center Grove’s powerful attack. Evie Ellis tallied 25 digs, Taylor Donovon recorded 24, and Savannah Brock contributed 16.
