Girls Improve to 17-5 With a Win Tuesday at Franklin Central

The Girls Basketball Team improved to 17–5 on the season with a road win at Franklin Central on Tuesday. The Lady Quakers opened the new year by winning the Hendricks County Tournament, defeating Avon 60–42 before edging Brownsburg 60–54 in the championship game. In the title game, Berkeley Williams led the way with 19 points, followed by Moriah Armstrong with 15 and Hannah Menser with 13. Plainfield also picked up a key Mid-State Conference victory at Franklin on Saturday, moving to 5–0 in conference play. On Tuesday night against Franklin Central, the Quakers displayed balanced scoring across the lineup: Hannah Menser scored 12 points, Abrielle Dugan added 7, Bryleigh Todd and Caroline Pugh each had 6, Kara Olejnik and Moriah Armstrong chipped in 5 apiece, and Shaniah Daniels finished with 4. The Lady Quakers travel to Mooresville on Friday for a Mid-State matchup. Varsity tips off at 6:00 p.m. Go Quakers!
